Genshin Impact Banners are what you can spend your Fate currency on to Wish for characters and weapons.

Every character event Banner usually runs for three weeks, making way for the next Banner, which always has a single 5-Star character with boosted pull odds, and three boosted 4-Stars.

There is also a weapon Banner that changes its featured 5-Star and 4-Star pulls every three weeks, and two permanent Banners with their own unique character and weapon pools.

We’ve detailed what the next and current Banners are in Genshin Impact below, along with a list of all Banners that have ran in the game since its 1.0 launch.

Next Banner event characters

For these temporary event character Banners, you have to use Intertwined Fate to Wish on them, and they usually change every three weeks. Sometimes there will only be one event character Banner, and sometimes there are two. When there are two, they share the same pity, 50/50 system, and boosted 4-Star characters.

We now officially know that Clorinde and Arlecchino are the next Banners in Genshin Impact during Phase 2 of version 5.3, with Clorinde a returning 5-Star Electro sword-user on her Illuminating Lightning Banner, and Arlecchino a 5-Star Pyro polearm-user on her The Hearth's Ashen Shadow Banner.

Lan Yan is also debuting as a boosted character on both Clorinde and Arlecchino's Banners, with Lan Yan a 4-Star Anemo character who uses a catalyst.

All of the boosted 4-Star characters on Clorinde and Arlecchino's next Banners are:

  • Chevreuse (Pyro)
  • Lan Yan (Anemo)
  • Rosaria (Cryo)

5.4 Banners

Thanks to drip marketing on social media, it's all but confirmed that Yumemizuki Mizuki is on one of the new Banners in version 5.4 of Genshin Impact, with Mizuki a 5-Star Anemo catalyst-user.

As for reruns, thanks to reliable leaks from FlyingFlame and HomDGCat relayed on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit, it looks like Wriothesley has finally been let out of that Cryo jail HoYoverse had him imprisioned in, as both leakers point to Wriothelsey finally rerunning alongside Mizuki in Phase 1, with Furina and Sigewinne rerunning in Phase 2 of version 5.4.

Congrats to Wriothesley for getting his first rerun almost a year and a half after his release! Although, we hope all you Wriothesley fans also have Furina, as it's a bit cruel to run him right before one of the best supports in the game...

Next Epitome Invocation Banner weapons

Epitome Invocation is a permanent weapon Banner with boosted 5-Star and 4-Star weapons that usually changes every three weeks, at the same time new event character Banners are added. Just like these character Banners, you must use Intertwined Fate to Wish on Epitome Invocation.

The next weapon Banners in Genshin Impact during Phase 2 of version 5.3 will feature:

  • Absolution (sword) - Clorinde's signature weapon (Phase 2)
  • Crimson Moon's Semblance (polearm) - Arlecchino's signature weapon (Phase 2)

All of the 4-Star weapons on the next weapon Banner are:

Next Chronicled Wish Banner

The next Chronicled Wish Banner starts on 21st January 2025 during Phase 2 of version 5.3 in Genshin Impact, and it features a selection of 5-Star Liyue characters (including Shenhe!) and their signature weapons.

Genshin Impact current character event Banners

The version 5.3 Phase 1 character Banners in Genshin Impact end on Tuesday 21st January. You can check exactly how long a Banner has left in your own server time by checking the bottom left-hand corner of an event Banner.

The current Banners in Genshin Impact features new 5-Stars Mavuika and Citlali.

Mavuika a new 5-Star Pyro character who uses a claymore on her Ancient Flame Ablaze Banner, and the boosted 4-Star characters on Mavuika's current Banner are:

  • Bennett (Pyro)
  • Diona (Cryo)
  • Kachina (Geo)

The other current 5-Star character Banner features Citlali, a new 5-Star Cryo character who uses a catalyst on her Starry Night's Whispers Banner, and all the boosted 4-Star characters featured on Citlali's current Banner are:

Current Epitome Invocation Banner

The current Epitome Invocation Banner runs until Tuesday 21st January.

The 5-Star weapons on the current weapon Banner in Genshin Impact are:

  • A Thousand Blazing Suns (claymore) - Mavuika's signature weapon
  • Starcaller's Watch (catalyst) - Citlali's signature weapon

All of the 4-Star boosted weapons on the current weapon Banner are:

  • Favonius Lance (polearm)
  • Favonius Codex (catalyst)

Chronicled Wish Banner explained

Chronicled Wish uses Intertwined Fate to chart a course towards specific characters and weapons that have been on rerun Banners at least three times, or that haven't featured recently. However, sometimes there are exceptions to this rule (like the Liyue Chronicled Wish Banner in version 5.3)

This new Banner was first added to Genshin Impact during version 4.5, and as per the official explainer, after this, Chronicled Wish will run "from time to time".

How does this new Banner work with both characters and weapons? Well, before using your Intertwined Fate to pull on Chronicled Wish, you must choose your 'Chronicled Path' by selecting a 5-star character or weapon from a list. If you choose a character, the 5-stars you pull will all be characters, but if you choose a weapon, the 5-stars you pull will all be weapons.

As always, you're guaranteed a 4-Star character or weapon every 10 pulls, and after 90 pulls on Chronicled Wish, you get a 5-star, but there's only a 50/50 chance it's the one you picked during your selection.

However, this time if you lose the 50/50, you get one Fate Point. This Fate point then guarantees that the next 5-star character or weapon you get is the one you picked during the 'Chronicled Wish' selection. Getting your selected character or weapon, changing your choice, or a Chronicled Wish Banner ending will reset your Fate Points back to zero.

This means your accumulated pull count will carry over to the next Chronicled Wish Banner, just like the regular event Banners work, but this time your 50/50 history doesn't. As, if you lose the 50/50 and don't get your selected character or weapon, you can't use the Fate Point on the next Chronicled Banner. You still have the pull count accumulated, you're just not guaranteed to get the 5-Star you want anymore now you don't have a Fate Point to use.

Chronicled Wish has a separate pull count than the event character Banners, even though they both use Intertwined Fate.

Beginners' Wish Banner

You can spend your Acquaint Fate on the permanent Beginners' Wish Banner. However, if you've Wished 20 times on it, Beginners' Wish will no longer be available.

After spending 10 Acquaint Fate on Beginners' wish you will get a guaranteed 4-Star Geo character, Noelle. After 20 Acquaint Fate is used, you'll then get another guaranteed 5-Star or 4-Star character from a select pool.

Wanderlust Invocation Banner

All 5-Star characters and Weapons not included in event character Banners are available in Wanderlust Invocation, a permanent Banner. New 4-Star characters are added to it in the update after their original Banner debut, but event-exclusive 4-Star weapons are not.

For every 10 Wishes you make with Acquaint Fate on Wanderlust Invocation, you are guaranteed at least one 4-Star character or weapon.
